“Something For Baby” Sampler

Hi everyone!

Today I have another framed sampler using the “Something For Baby” Clear-Mount Bundle {Item #136791} from Stampin’ Up! {thank you Kim for loaning me your set}. It is done in Pool Party, yellow and cream. Of course, the colors could be changed up to suit either boy or girl or even made to coordinate with baby’s nursery colors.

The images were heat embossed before die cutting and adhering them to dry embossed layered squares. There are little bits of sparkle here and there as well. The sampler itself measures 8″ x 10 1/2″. The frame measures 9 3/8″ x 12″ {outside dimensions}.

Technique Tuesday #1

Hi everyone!

I am starting something new that I hope you will enjoy ~ Technique Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will share a technique that can be applied to many forms of paper crafting ~ card making, scrapbooking, albums and tags.

This week’s technique: COLORING WITH THE WINK OF STELLA BRUSH.

IMG_1367

You may be familiar with coloring with a blender pen or aqua painter ~ that’s when you dip the brush tip into some ink on your ink pad lid or reinker on a palette/clear stamp block and then color your images. You can also do the same with the Stampin’ Up! Wink of Stella Brush as it paints a pretty glimmery color because it mixes the glimmer paint from inside the pen with your ink color. When you first purchase this pen, gently push on the side where it says “push” to get the fluid flowing. This only needs to be done once. You can then use the tip to pick up color from your ink pad or a palette/clear stamp block. Just squeeze the ink pad gently to transfer some ink from the pad onto the inside of the lid or place a few drops of reinker onto a palette or a clear stamp block.

Hints:

*Be sure that your images are stamped in an archival or permanent ink to avoid smearing the ink while coloring.

*When finished with one color, just gently wipe the tip on scrap paper to clean the color off before proceeding to the next color. Let the cardstock dry thoroughly before handling.

*Make sure to wipe off any left over ink from the inside your ink pad lid if that is the method you use or the next time you squeeze the pad to get more color on the inside of the lid, you will transfer glitter left from the pen onto the top of your ink pad.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks technique. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. See you next time!

Until next time,

Erin

“Wildflower Fields” cards

Hi everyone!

Today I have a some cards that use the beautiful papers and stamps in the Sale-a-Bration flyer.  The “Wildflower Fields” DSP are some of the prettiest papers I’ve seen and I have combined them with 2 other free goodies from the Sale-a-Bration flyer ~ the “Botanicals For You” and the “Flowering Fields” stamp sets. The DSP and hand colored stamped images are layered on coordinating cardstock before adhering them to white card bases. Each butterfly has a coating from the Wink of Stella glitter brush for some pretty shimmer. The sentiments on these cards are suitable for many occasions ~ birthday, thank you or even just thinking of you!

Colors: {Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and  Mossy Meadow}

*You may choose which color layering cardstock color you would like from the above colors and a coordinating DSP will be used.  You may also choose which sentiment you would like.

*These are available as single cards and boxed sets.  SOLD

February Note Cards

Hi everyone!

Sometimes it’s nice to have a little greeting to tuck into a gift bag or a bouquet of flowers. With this set of 4 note cards, you will be ready when that time comes! Each month will have a theme/color scheme. The note cards measure 3″ x 3″, have heat and/or machine embossing and embellishments of some sort ~ ribbon, pearls, rhinestones, etc. Envelopes with the flaps machine embossed are included.

For the month of February, here is a set of “Together” notes done in pale pink and gray patterned papers on white card bases. The butterflies and hearts are covered with Stickles for some pretty sparkle.
