Tuesday’s Tip #14

Hi everyone!

Welcome to today’s Tuesday’s Tip. These posts are tips about different products, crafting and also ways of stretching the supplies that you already may have. I alternate Technique Tuesday and Tuesday’s Tip just to change things up a bit.

Today’s post is a very quick one about adhering vellum. If you do any paper crafting with vellum, you know how hard it can be to for whichever adhesive you use not to show through. I have tried tape runner, glue dots and double sided tape. These all work at adhering but they show through. Until now!

You will need: vellum, liquid glue, sponge {piece of crafting sponge or makeup sponge}, waxed/parchment paper or silicone sheet. Please note: the waxed/parchment paper can be thrown out and the silicone sheet can be wiped clean.

Put a small amount of liquid glue on the waxed paper/silicone sheet.

Pick up the glue with the sponge.

Gently pounce a very thin layer onto the back side of the vellum piece and adhere to the project.

The vellum sticks very well with no adhesive showing through. This makes the finished project look clean and polished.
