Tuesday’s Tag #4

Hi everyone!

Welcome to “Tuesday’s Tag”!  These posts feature how to create different styles of tags that can be used for the usual purpose ~ gifts. But tags can also be added to scrapbook layouts, cards, albums and journals. I hope that you will join me and enjoy creating some tags 🙂  I alternate Tuesday’s Tip,  Technique Tuesday and Tuesday’s Tag just to change things up a bit.

Today’s tag: “Thanks”

You will need: card stock, patterned paper, paper trimmer or cutting tools of choice, stamps, ink, liquid pearls/rhinestones/pearls, ribbon/twine. *Optional: powder tool, clear embossing powder, heat tool {you don’t have to heat emboss the images if you don’t want to}. Please noteany stamp set can be used. I am just showing you the way I created this tag.

  1. Please note: you may click on the link underneath the picture below for a PDF of these instructions.
  2. This is a larger tag as I used a stitched rectangle die for the tag base but any shape can be used for the base.
  3. Cut a piece of patterned paper 1/4″ smaller {length/width} and adhere to the tag base leaving equal borders on all four sides.
  4. Cut a piece of card stock the same length as the patterned paper. The width is up to you ~ just make sure it is wide enough for the sentiment/image. It can always be cut down after stamping if you feel it is too wide.
  5.  Stamp the sentiment/image and emboss, if desired.
  6. Adhere to the patterned paper with adhesive or foam pop dots. I lined it up with the top, bottom and right hand side of the patterned paper.
  7. Add embellishments.
  8. Punch a small hole for the ribbon/twine. I attached the tag to a gift bag with a tiny paperclip which also keeps the bag closed {there could still be some tissue paper peeking out of the top but I didn’t have any to match the colors}.
