I have two new baby rag quilts to share with you today. These quilts have three layers ~ a top, batting and a backing and is made using cotton fabrics and Hobbs Heirloom Premium batting. The quilts are made of squares sewn together with the raw edges sticking out which are closely clipped. Then the quilts are washed and dried to create the signature ragging. They will continue to get softer and cuddly with each washing. Both measure 30″ x 40″.
The first one is a cute little quilt for a baby girl. It is made with “Sweet Birdie” fabrics by Sugar & Spice Textiles and other assorted cottons.
The second one is would be a sweet addition to a baby boy’s nursery. It is made with “A Little Bird Told Me” flannel by Northcott and other assorted cottons.
Both quilts are available at the Carstairs Artisan Market.
